Astronomer vid Max Planck-institutet i Heidelberg har hittat en ny exoplanet, en gigantisk gasjätte, som kretsar runt stjärnan TW Hydrae. Planeten som försetts med namnet TW Hydrae b, ligger ungefär 56 parsec från vårt jorden vilket motsvarar 1,7 miljarders miljarder meter. Planeten är förmodligen den yngsta planeten som hittills upptäckts och kommer förhoppningsvis att leda till bättre förståelse om hur solsystem bildas. The planet, currently dubbed TW Hydrae b , is roughly 56 parsecs from Earth which corresponds to 1.7 billion billion meters. The planet is likely to be the youngest one found so far and will hopefully lead to a greater understanding in the creation of solar systems.
