Klurendrejeriet for dummies (part 5)

Här följer en engelsk översättning av den sista delen av Klurendrejeriet för dummies som gavs ut på svenska (och återfinns längst ner på denna blogg) i samband med Klurendrejeriet® mini förra året.

Follow my advice and you will succeed!

Here is the English translation of the suggestions given in Klurendrejeriet® mini last year, titled:

Klurendrejeriet for dummies
"5. TAKE IT EASY! There is little to be gained by rushing - unless one is after the time-limited final seat - so do not forget to relax while you solve. Before you know it, the answer pops up on tv, in a magazine or spontaneously by itself in your head. Make sure to write down this impulse before it goes away! People solving riddles in Klurendrejeriet® are always on their toes, even in their when not solving actively. Sleep is just a relaxed state with closed eyes."

Note: There is no time-limited final seat in Klurendrejeriet® mini, but your answers need to be sent in by 13 October. This was the last part of Klurendrejeriet för dummies to be translated. You can find the Swedish original on the bottom on the blog and the four first parts by clicking on the label dummies just below this text.

Klurendrejeriet for dummies (part 4)

Här nedan följer en engelsk översättning av de tips som gavs på svenska lagom till Klurendrejeriet® mini förra året.

Here is the English translation of the suggestions given in Klurendrejeriet® mini last year, titled:

Klurendrejeriet for dummies
"4. TEAMS AND BOUNCE PEOPLE. Very few people have the mental strength or knowledge to solve all questions by themselves. It is therefore advantageous to form a team among your friends or family (Klurendrejeriet runs during the holiday season!). It is best, however, if your team is not too large, since the value of the questions is approximately inversly proportional to the number of correct answer to that question. This also means that if you, as the sole participant, hands in the correct solution to the highest valued question almost automatically have earned a seat in the final."

Note: The point value rules only apply to the original Klurendrejeriet® and not Klurendrejeriet® mini, where the points do not matter (since no one is keeping score!).

Even more free advice!

When all the Swedes are busy imitating animals and long-lost occupations around the Maypoles, what could fit better than a translation of Klurendrejeriet for dummies? If you would rather have an extra clue, make sure you vote for the question you find hardest (see Thursday's post).

3. INFORMATION GATHERING. Internet offers a lot of information and is a vital part when solving the riddles in Klurendrejeriet. Sometimes though, there is little to perform an actual search on and the good old dictionary or a good friend will be more useful. Once you have the correct answer, the internet is an indispensible source to verify that answer.

"2. STUDY THE QUESTION CAREFULLY! The questions in Klurendrejeriet have multiple information layers. This means that there may be information hidden or spread in both pictures (and caption) as well as in the text (and title). Sometimes, however, the question is straightforward and is described without further ado - something one notices only afterwards."

For those of who wonder what the text reads on the bottom of this blog, we can inform you about it right here, right now! It is (as you may deduct form the title) simple instructions entitled Klurendrejeriet for dummies! It was first used for the Swedish-only version of Klurendrejeriet® mini last year. Klurendrejeriet for dummies
"1. AVOID CONFUSION! At first sight a question may look extremely simple. Do not get fooled! Just because something is described as a well-known object, does not necessarily make it one - actually it is more likely that indeed is something else! On the other hand, it may be a double bluff ..."
